Dr Yunus Takes on Leadership After Hospital Discharge

On August 5, when the government of Sheikh Hasina was ousted following a mass uprising led by the anti-discrimination student movement, Nobel laureate economist Dr Muhammad Yunus was in a Paris hospital recovering from minor surgery. Despite his hospitalization, key coordinators of the movement reached out to him, urging him to take responsibility for leading the country.
